Upon receiving your login credentials from AIG Travel Guard, take the following steps to set up ClientBase for Live Connect.
Step 1: Set up AIG Travel Guard Live Connect Provider
Create a new or check that a Live Connect Provider for AIG Travel Guard exists by going to Utilities/Live Connect Providers and clicking Add. (Make sure the URL is correct if Provider is present.)
- Provider Name: AIG Travel Guard
- URL: https://advisors.travelguard.com/content/tg-agents/aig-travel/us/en/clientbase.clientbase.html
- Travel Category: Insurance
- Import XML from: HTML Source.
Step 2: Set up for Live Connect Logins
Each User can put in their own login information by going to Utilities/My Login/Live Connect or you can enter one set of login information for a Live Connect provider for all agents by going to Global Defaults/Res Card Defaults/Live Connect Logins. Click Add and enter the following information: Select AIG Travel Guard from the drop-down list.
- Username and Password. All other fields should be blank.
Step 3: Add the Live Connect Provider to Travel Guard Vendor Profile
From the profile manager, retrieve the Travel Guard vendor profile (or create if it is not in the database). From the General Info tab, click Live Connect Providers. From here, click Add, then select AIG Travel Guard from the drop-down list. The vendor code is Tguard. Click OK, then Apply.
Create New AIG Travel Guard Reservation (Windows)
Step 1) Click the Reservation tab and then Add in the Res Card. Select AIG Travel Guard as the vendor and click Live Connect.
Step 2) Select AIG Travel Guard from the drop-down menu by Connect To. Make sure the username and password are filled in and then click Create New Reservation.
Step 3) Select any customer information used to book the AIG Travel Guard reservation. This data is automatically passed to AIG Travel Guard and saves time during the booking process, as less fields need to be completed manually. Then click Connect.
Step 4) The system prompts with the reservation records included in this Res Card. Highlight each reservation you want to insure. To highlight and select multiple reservations, use CTRL/click. The system will complete the summary trip information. In addition, enter
- Destination (please enter a country)
- Trip Cost
- Departure Date
- Return Date
- Deposit Date
- Final Payment Date
Click Connect.
Step 5) Although you are still in ClientBase, you are now on-line at the booking site. Complete the reservations and when the reservation is confirmed, click Import Reservation. All reservation data booked on-line is now located in the reservation fields in ClientBase.
Import Existing Reservation Made Outside of ClientBase (Windows)
First, create a new reservation and click Import Existing Reservation. Make sure your login information is entered or you will not be able to import a reservation. Enter the confirmation number. **If your login credentials and reservation number are not present in ClientBase before connecting, the import will not work. The system automatically takes you to the search screen. Enter the client’s name and click to search. Once the reservation details are displayed, click Import and the details of the reservation are imported into ClientBase.

Upon receiving your login credentials from AIG Travel Guard, take the following steps to set up ClientBase for Live Connect
Step 1) Create a new or check that a Live Connect Provider for AIG Travel Guard exists by going to Tools/Settings/Live Connect Providers and clicking Add. (Make sure the URL is correct if Provider is present.)
Fill in the following fields:
- Name of the Provider: AIG Travel Guard
- Status: Leave the default of Active. If you ever want to make it Inactive, go back in this area to turn off.
- URL: https://advisors.travelguard.com/content/tg-agents/aig-travel/us/en/clientbase.clientbase.html
- Travel Category: Select Insurance.
- Import XML from: Select HTML Source.
- Include Authentication: None.
Click Save.
Step 2) Each User can put in their own login information under Tools/My Login/Live Connect or enter one set of login information for a Live Connect provider for all agents by going to Tools/Settings/Live Connect Login. Click Add and enter the following information:
- Live Connect Provider: Select AIG Travel Guard from the drop-down list.
- Username and Password. All other fields should be blank.
Step 3) Create a vendor profile in ClientBase for AIG Travel Guard if one does not exist. From the profile manager, retrieve the vendor profile (or create one if it is not in database). From the General Info area, click Live Connect Providers. From here, click Add, then select AIG Travel Guard from the drop-down list. The vendor code is Tguard. Save.
Create New AIG Travel Guard Reservation (Online)
***Important Note: You must download the Chrome Live Connect extension before using Live Connect with ClientBase Online. Please click here for instructions on downloading the extension.
Step 1) Retrieve the desired client profile, create a new Res Card or add to an existing Res card, and launch Live Connect by clicking Live Connect on the menu bar.
Step 2) Complete the Live Connect settings by identifying the vendor, the Live Connect Provider and appropriate Login information. (If you have set up your logins in Tools/My Login/Live Connect, the account information will auto-populate.)
Step 3) Click the Create New Reservation button.
Step 4) Select any Profile, Passenger, Branch and Res Card information you want to use to book the reservation and then click Connect.
Step 5) The system prompts with the reservation records included in this Res Card. Click each reservation you wish to include.
- Destination (please enter a country)
- Trip Cost
- Departure Date
- Return Date
- Deposit Date
- Final Payment Date
Click Connect.
Step 6) A new browser window will open for AIG Travel Guard. Complete the reservation(s) using instructions supplied by AIG Travel Guard upon registration. When the reservation is confirmed, click on the Live Connect Extension, and then select Import Reservation. All reservation data booked on-line is now located in the reservation fields in ClientBase.
Import Existing AIG Travel Guard Made Outside of ClientBase (Online)
First, create a new reservation in CBO and click Import Existing Reservation. Make sure to enter your login information if it is not auto-populated. Enter the confirmation number. **Your login credentials and policy number must be entered in ClientBase before connecting.
A new browser window will open for AIG Travel Guard. The system automatically takes you to the search screen. Enter the client’s name and click to search. Once the reservation details are displayed, click on the Live Connect Extension, and then select Import Reservation. All reservation data booked on-line is now located in the reservation fields in ClientBase.
