User profiles contain the login data and permissions for each person from your company who has access to Tres. Users are added and updated by the Admin on your account.
Users are found in the Settings folder and then under User Profiles.
Search Users
Search for users using the search bubbles for Login Name, Name, Branch, or User Type. Results are sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking on the arrow buttons to the right of any column headers. Clicking on a line item will take you directly to the user details screen in a new window.
Add a New User
To add a new user, click on the + Add User Profile at the upper right corner of the screen.
Create a Login Name and New Password. Re-enter the password in the Confirm Password field.
- Passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters and contain one upper case, one lower case, one numerical digit, and one special character.
- Passwords expire every 60 days.
- If you get locked out of your account after 4 failed login attempts in one month, wait 60 minutes before trying again. You may also reset your password.

If your agency uses branches, assign the user to a Branch available in the dropdown menu.
Enter the user's Email and Phone .
Note: The email address is very important, as any password reset information will be sent there.
If you would like to send e-mails directly from Tres to your clients, your mail server and E-mail settings must be configured for SMTP. Email configuration is unique to each user, and has to be set up on an individual basis.
Finding Mail Server's SMTP Settings
SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is a standard language used for sending e-mail on the Internet or a network. Every mail server is capable of handling SMTP e-mail. Your agency can utilize this SMTP feature providing it has the proper mail server configuration. Contact the entity responsible for maintaining your mail server to confirm your SMTP settings.

Select a User Type (User, Manager or Admin). Admins are generally agency owners and have access to all parts of Tres and can see all users' data. Managers are generally office staff or assistants that work with multiple advisors and need access to more data in Tres. Users are individual booking advisors who generally only need access to their own data.
Choose Permissions for each area by clicking on the down arrow. Permissions should reflect accessibility appropriate for individual users. Below is a table outlining the details of each permission setting.
Select | User can view a record in search results. |
Read | User can open a record's full details, but cannot make changes. |
Insert | User can add new records. |
Update | User can view and make changes to a record. |
Delete | User can delete a record. |
Only Self | User can only view and access the records created by or assigned to them. |
Only Branch | User can only view and access the records created by or assigned to their branch. |
Decrypt | Users can view encrypted data (credit cards numbers). |
Click on + Add Additional Advisor and select and advisor name from the drop-down menu. Associating a user to an advisor allows the user to view all data associated with that advisor in Tres such as Travelers, Clients, Trips, Reservations, and Payments. Associating multiple advisors to a user will allow a single user to view data from multiple advisors. This can be useful if you have an assistant who is working with multiple advisors in your agency and needs access to their data, or if an advisor traveling and another advisor is covering for them.
Add additional details about the user in the Remarks section.
Click Save All. If successful, you will see the confirmation message below. Admins may update the user profile at any time.
Records of any changes made by the user or Admin are listed under History. Click on User History to expand the full details.
