Requirements for traveler citizenship
IATA has revised requirements for certain traveler identity documents, including known traveler and redress numbers. The merge-to-PNR rules use the traveler's citizenship field to populate that information.
The GDS requires that countries be entered using its ISO two- or three-character country code. According to the GDS documentation, Amadeus recommends using the three-character country code. Apollo, Sabre, Travelport+ (Galileo 1G), and Worldspan recommend using the two-character country code.
