Agencies with multiple Advisors on the same Reservation may want to restrict certain Users from viewing other Advisors and their commission details in the program.
When creating profiles for your Users, uncheck the box for "Allow Viewing of other Advisors on Reservation Advisor Tab and Advisor Profiles" in the Advisor section of the user profile.
Note: This checkbox will only appear for basic users (non Admin or Manager) and is checked by default on new user profiles.
When unchecked, the User will only be able to see and select their Primary Advisor in the Advisor tab of a Reservation. It also affects the following areas of the program where advisor commission data is available:
- All Reservation Advisor column data in the Trip search screen.
- Modify Reservation functionality in Trips search.
- Advisor data in the Advisor Statement/Summary.
- Advisor data in the Advisor Pay Reconciliation.
Use Cases and Challenges
Your agency has two independent contractors, Jane and Mark, that are working on the same cruise reservation. Jane shouldn’t be able to see Mark’s commission rates, but should still be able to access all other reservation details to manage the Trip. In this case, you would uncheck the “Allow Viewing of Other Advisors on Reservation Advisor Tab and Advisor Profiles” box in both profiles to restrict visible commission data.
One of the challenges for users with this restriction is limited collaboration. Unchecking this box means that the logged in user can only select their Primary Advisor in any of the affected areas. They would not be able to add other Advisors associated with their user profile to a Reservation. This could be a hindrance for agencies that have assistants with their own user profiles.
