Announcement 6/13/22: Internet Explorer End of Life

We wanted to remind you of the upcoming Internet Explorer end of life on June 15^th highlight the impacts to the ClientBase and ClientBase Marketing Services products, and link articles to help set up for the change.

ClientBase Windows:

The impact on ClientBase Windows is minimal.  Our primary concern for the windows product with the IE end of life was the impact on Live connect. This was resolved with the release of CBW 4.13 with a new Live Connect component integrating Chrome for Live Connect..

Apollo, Galileo, and Worldspan PRN integrations continue without any impact.

You may recall Amadeus decommissioned ActiveX which supported the Merge to PNR and PNR import functions in all our ClientBase products.  Amadeus Merge to PNR can still be used with the clip board method but Amadeus PNR import is not available.  

ClientBase Online:

We currently have a new browser extension for Live Connect in beta testing and will be announcing its release soon.  This extension will be available in either Edge or in Chrome.

Apollo, Galileo, and Worldspan PRN integrations require set up with Internet Explorer Mode in Edge or Internet Explorer Extension Add-on in Chrome in order to continue after the 15^th.

As with the windows product, when Amadeus decommissioned ActiveX we lost the PNR import function, but Amadeus Merge to PNR can still be used with the clip board method.

ClientBase Marketing Services:

ClientBase Marketing Services functionality works in both Edge and Chrome.  We have identified an issue for Custom Promotions users loading images in Chrome, and this is being addressed.   Edge will support this functionality, or we can assist from our side until the fix for Chrome is released in the near future.
