What Are “Saved Views” in Tres?
“Saved Views” in Tres are a powerful and convenient feature that allows users to quickly access customized data sets with a single click. By combining filters, values, and formatting options, users can define exactly what they want to see—and how they want to see it—across various Tres data areas such as Clients, Travelers, Trips, Payments, Activities, and Suppliers. A saved view can function as a saved search or serve as a report, providing quick access to filtered data based on your selected criteria and helping streamline daily workflows.
How Do I Get the Data I Want in One Click?
Tres makes it easy to streamline your workflow by letting you save and re-use data views tailored to your specific needs. There are four key components that determine what data is displayed:
-
Filters
Filters define the scope of the data you wish to view. For example, you might filter for reservations within a specific departure date range, clients who have traveled to a certain destination, or unpaid bookings. The Trips area alone includes 138 filter options, each of which can be used individually or in combination. -
Filter Values
Filter values specify the criteria for your selected filters. This might include exact dates, destination names, payment statuses, or any combination thereof. -
Column Customization
This determines how the filtered results are displayed. -
Date Expressions (Optional)
Tres supports dynamic date formulas that simplify setting time-based filters. Examples include “Yesterday,” “Last 7 Days,” “Last Month,” or “Next 30 Days.” These expressions are calculated automatically and make setting up recurring views much faster.
Creating and Using Saved Views
Once your filters, values, and column customization are configured (with optional date expressions), you can save the entire setup as a “Saved View.” This allows you to run the same customized view or report repeatedly without re-entering your criteria. For example, you might save ten different views of sales production data and retrieve each one with just a click and a search.
Tres also offers a library of Views and Reports that can be downloaded and adapted. In addition, consortia, consultants, and agencies often share custom views with their partners.
Set a Default View for Even Faster Access
To streamline your workflow even further, you can set any Saved View as the default for a specific data area. Once set, simply clicking the “Search” button will instantly display the relevant data—no additional input needed.
