Live Connect - Create New Reservation
Step 1) Create a client Res Card and fill in the Agent, Status, Reservation Cycle, Trip Name, and Region/Destination fields and select the travelers.
There are two ways to launch Live Connect.
- 1. Select the Reservations link to add a Reservation. Enter the Vendor name. If the Vendor is a Live Connect provider, you will see a pop up that says that the Vendor is configured for Live Connect. Select OK to launch Live Connect.
- 2. From the Res Card level, click Live Connect, select the Live Connect Provider from the Connect To: drop-down and click Create new reservation or Import Existing Reservation.
Step 2) Select customer data to book the reservation (Traveler, Credit Card, Phone and Billing Address, etc.) and click Connect. Select customer data to book the reservation (Traveler, Credit Card, Phone and Billing Address, etc.) and click Connect. The browser extension is automatically launched.
Step 3) Although still in ClientBase, you are now on-line at the Live Connect booking site you want to view. Depending on the provider you are using you may need to open the site in a new tab. If you see a URL, like shown in the screen shot below, click on the URL and it will open a new tab in our browser. Login to the site, book a reservation or look up an existing reservation.
Step 4) When a reservation is booked and confirmed in a Live Connect provider booking site, click Import Reservation. All reservation data booked on-line is now located in ClientBase.
For bookings made in separate browser tab, when the booking is displayed, click the Live Connect extension on your toolbar at the top of the screen. You will be back in the browser extension and you can now click Import Reservation. Click the link below for details.
