Ancillary Services – Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMDs)
When EMD is enable within Branch\Setup\Main Tab - a service type called Ancillary Services will be added by a script to Tools>Tables>Service Types. Any of the fields within the Service type table can be manually amended if required. The code for Ancillary Services is ‘A’.
A check will be in place in the script on creation of the new service type. If ‘A’ type is already being used in the database, then the script will replace ‘A’ with ‘AA’ and attach to all relevant tables, then it will use ‘A’ for the new Service Type Ancillary Services.
All fields of the Ancillary Services service type are checked in the ‘Show’ column against each field.
The only required fields to show for Ancillary Services on itineraries out of these fields will be Departure and Departure City.
The Auto Order option for all download service types is ticked and cannot be unticked.
Service Codes will also be automatically added – Tools\Tables\Service Types\Service Codes.

- GDS segment sequence retained from download regardless of departure date and time
- Manual segment Auto ordering on demand based on the GDS sequence and manual segments based on departure date and time when the auto-ordering option is checked.
- If checked, any new manually created segments ordering is based on departure date and time when the auto-ordering option is checked.
The function is configurable, segments selected for sorting by default can be deselected and any additional service types can be selected if required.
- Auto-ordering is checked for all download service types - Flight, Hotel, Car and Tour segments and cannot be unchecked.
- Auto-ordering is checked by default for Coach, Rail, Cruise and Surface segments and can be unchecked if required – Tools/Tables/Service Types.

- Manual shifting of Trip segments by the consultant is as per the current functionality. However the user can restore the order of Trip segments back at any time by clicking on the sort button.
- The segment order after manually shifting the segments is preserved for the trip if this has been saved. However a re-download or clicking on the on demand sort button would again order the segments based on the auto-ordering logic
- The behavior of trip segments after re-download when there is a change to the GDS segments after a quote is attached to a segment is the same as the current functionality.
