Click here for directions on backing up your Trams/ClientBase Database. The backup process will remove credit card data, which will later be added to your new Tres database by following the procedures below.
Your Implementation Specialist will notify you when your new database is ready. At that time, you will run the following utility to transfer your credit card data into the new Tres database.
Note: There is no specific time requirement for running this utility. It can be run immediately after conversion, a day later, or even a week later. Credit card data will not appear in the new Tres database until this utility has been run.
This utility can be run from either a workstation or the server.
- Click the link below to download TresCCUpate file. The file will download to the computer's Downloads folder.

- Using the File Manager, navigate to Downloads.
- Right click on the TresCCUpdate.zip file and select Extract All
- Browse for a location on the computer the files will be extracted or or keep the default path.
- Click Extract
- Double click to open the extracted file folder
- Double click to run the TresCcUpdate.exe file
- If you receive the following, click More Info and then Run Anyway
- The command prompt will launch and your Trams/ClientBase Alias will be populated.
- Note: If you have more than one Trams/ClientBase database, ensure the one you want to backup is named. If it is not the correct one, backspace and enter the correct Alias.
- Hit enter
- Enter the SYSDBA password for that database
- Enter
Hit Enter when the Target Host is displayed
- Enter your new Tres Domain
- Enter your User name
- Enter your password
- Let the utility run.
- Once it's done, press any key to continue
