The GST Rate per country (Australia or New Zealand) is set when CCTE is installed. A Supervisor will be able to view and edit GST from this screen from FileàGST Setup under Supervisor login and they are able to set the GST rate and applicable dates from this screen.

Australian GST
Will remain at 10% as per the same GST screen setup.

BAS Guides
Travel Agencies may choose to use CCTE differently in relation to their General and Trust accounts. For this reason Travelport has provided three different guidelines to completing your Business Activity Statement (BAS).
Decide which category matches your agency set-up and click on the link provided:
- For Travel Agencies that use CCTE for their client (trust account) transactions but do not use CCTE for their General Ledger (Working Account) entries.
BAS A Guide – External General Account
- For Travel agencies that have a combined Trust (Client) and General (Working) bank account and use CCTE for their General Ledger (Working account) entries.
BAS B Guide – Combined Trust & General Account(s)
- For Travel Agencies that operate separate Trust and General bank accounts and are also entering their General Accounting transactions in CCTE.
BAS C Guide – Separate Trust & General Account(s)
New Zealand GST
Changed from 12.5% to 15.0% from 1/10/10 and In Effect field has now updated to Y from that time. A User can only view these screens, a Supervisor may edit.
On 1/10/10 these screens automatically updated and changed the 12.5% In Effect field to P as past, and the15.0% field to Y. All other necessary tables updated at this time as well.

Note: Any future changes to other markets would be configured by users as required.
- The “In Effect” value is ‘Y’; and this GST Rate value will remain in the drop down until the value changes to “N” or “P”.
- The “Valid To” date is greater than the “To date”. Once the “Valid to” date equals the “To date” that GST value will no longer appear in the GST drop down.
End of Financial Year
The End of Financial Year close off can only be performed at the true end of financial year based on accounting periods set up in CCTE and the current date (ie. only from 1st April or 1st July onwards).
Preparation for End of Financial Year, however, should begin well before 31st March or 30th June depending on whether NZ or AU Agency.
Documentation
Travelport publishes new documentation each year to assist with the End of Year preparation and implementation. These documents are published online and can be found on our online support resource MyTravelport.
