Sabre Single File: Sabre Multiple Files:
Worldspan Single File: Worldspan Multiple Files:
The download utility can be configured for multiple GDS systems and run outside of Trams Back Office from Start|Programs|Trams Back Office|Download. High volume agencies can create shortcuts for each download configuration and run them simultaneously, or as 'real-time' interface to the same or different workstations. Since all records are routed to a single log for processing, simultaneous downloads should be tested and used only after processing procedures are well established in the agency.
Database Alias – Select the correct database Alias - the default is Trams. The database Alias should NEVER be blank. Be very careful if you are using the download.exe program for more than one interface to multiple databases. It is difficult to get the interface records into the proper database if you accidently download into the wrong database.
User Name/Password – Use the SYSDBA user name and Password when setting up the interface Download screen for the first time. This will ensure the next time you log into the download window your previous settings will remain in this window.
CRS – This is a drop down menu. All 4 GDS are listed here with the exception of Sabre and Worldspan who have two options for the CRS. Sabre agencies should use CRS=Sabre if you using a multiple file interface (recommended) and Sabrenet if you are using a single file interface. The sabre printing module software will tell you if you are setup as single or multiple if you are not sure. Worldspan agencies have the same single or multiple file options and this is determined by the Host print manager software you have configured. For a single file interface you would use the US version of the Host print manager software and you would choose the CRS=Worldspan images to disk. For multiple files you would use the International TAIR version of the Host print manager and you would choose CRS=Worldspan in the download window.
Options – There are several options listed below to help control what information downloads into your database. There are some of these options written specifically for certain GDS and some written for all GDS.
-NG All GDS. If you do not want to capture the Comm Track CC Number, with the 'Guaranteed to:' message in Client Remarks, add an -NG to the Options field on the Trams Download Screen. Adding ---NG ignores the C/C 'Guarantee' information on automated hotel bookings (Guaranteed To VI ending in 5874). The Comm Track Hotel CC number, with the 'Guaranteed to:' message, will not appear on printed invoices, and the Comm Track CC Number will continue to be captured in the Comm Track CC No field on the Expanded Fare Tab of the Booking.
-NU All GDS. Any agency having a conflict with the Client Remarks field of a booking being interfaced to a UDID field, can ignore UDID formats in the Client Remarks field of a booking by entering -NU in the Option field on the Download Screen.
-D Worldspan Agencies: There is a -D option to the Interface Download screen to make the dash following the 5SA , 5OA, 5FJ, 5LF,5AN, and 5FF entries in Worldspan optional. If not wanting to specifically identify an SA or OA entry as agent-related, then enter -D in the Options Field on the screen and the dash (-) after the SA and OA entry will not be required. There is a chance, based on the entry made if no dash (-) is present, that the name SANDY could be read as "SA", an override of the Original Sales Agent.
-NE Apollo Agencies: To ignore email updates in Apollo Interface, enter -NE (No Email).
-J Apollo Agencies: To enable the intinerary update feature in Trams, use the option field in the Trams Download Screen and add the -J. When you have a T-HU in the pnr and issue an Itin only with the HBDJD format TBO will find the original invoice and update it with the changes.
-RC Apollo and Amadeus Agencies: When -RC is placed in the Download options field the capture of the hotel rate type code is enabled and will now be appended to the currently captured room type code. The code is captured in the booking Expanded Fare/Description field.
Note: The room type codes are the first 3 characters, the room rate codes are the last 3 characters.
-NM Worldspan Agencies: - Captures the passenger name from the PNR passenger name field instead of the NM- in the Hotel segment record if [-NM] is used in download options.
PNR File Path
Apollo- MIR to file setup typically has a pnr file path of C:\MIR if the Galileo print manager is setup on the TBO computer. If the Galileo print manager is configured on a pc other than the TBO machine you will need to search for the other pc and folder where the files reside.
Amadeus- AIR files created by the Amadeus Pro Printer if installed on the TBO pc typically have a pnr file path of C:\AIR. If the Amadeus pro printer is configured on a pc other than the TBO machine you will need to search for the other pc and folder where the files reside.
Sabre – The Sabre printing module (SPM) determines what the pnr file path should be. If using a single file interface the pnr file path will need to include the name of the file and for multiple file setup the pnr file path will not include a file name.
Example of single file pnr file path – C:\Sabre\apps\interface\pnrdata.txt
Example of multiple file pnr file path – C:\Saber\apps\oadp\output
Again if SPM in not installed on the TBO machine you will need to search for the computer where the file or files are located to complete the pnr file path.
Worldspan – Host print manager (HPM) determines what the pnr file path should be.
Example: US TAIR (single file) C:\wspan\hpm\output\logair.dat
Example: INTL TAIR (multiple file) C:\wspan\hpm\output
Wait for new records-
Wait for New Records is used by high volume agencies to enable a 'real-time' interface. The download screen can be left open to read new messages from the file path as soon as they are created. Only agencies who have the multiple file interface setup can take advantage of this option. If you choose to use the wait for new records the interface download window should remain open (it can be running minimized) and it does not use up any of your user licenses. This allows the download.exe program to run and allows the TBO operator to function anywhere else in the TBO program that the need. The interval is set to 60 seconds by default but can be changed to suit your needs.
Process Res.txt – Do not check this option it is not intended for agencies use. This option is used by the GDS Integration Support Team to assist agencies in analyzing interface records.
