IMG supports the following Live Connect features if checked:
IMG for ClientBase Windows
To use Live Connect to purchase insurance with IMG, you must be an existing IMG producer. For more information on how to become an IMG producer, contact IMG’s Grant Hayes at Grant.Hayes@imglobal.com. Once they receive your email request, a member of the IMG sales team will reach out to you directly.
Set Up IMG (Windows)
Upon receiving your account number from IMG, take the following steps to set up ClientBase for Live Connect.
Step 1: Set up IMG Live Connect Provider
Create a new or check that a Live Connect Provider for IMG exists by going to Utilities/Live Connect Providers and clicking Add. (Make sure the URL is correct if Provider is present.)
- Provider Name: IMG
- URL: https://www.imglobal.com/ClientBase?LCPOST=true
- Travel Category: Insurance
- Import XML from: HTML Source.
Step 2: Set up for Live Connect Logins
Each User can put in their own login information by going to Utilities/My Login/Live Connect or you can enter one set of login information for a Live Connect provider for all agents by going to Global Defaults/Res Card Defaults/Live Connect Logins. Click Add and enter the following information: Select IMG from the drop-down list.
- User Name, Password, and Account Number: Enter the producer number in the account number field. All other fields should be blank.
Step 3: Add the Live Connect Provider to IMG Vendor Profile
From the profile manager, retrieve the IMG vendor profile (or create if it is not in the database). From the General Info tab, click Live Connect Providers. From here, click Add, then select IMG from the drop-down list. The vendor code is IMG. Click OK, then Apply.
Create New IMG Reservation (Windows)
Step 1) Click the Reservation tab and then Add in the Res Card. Select IMG as the vendor and click Live Connect.
Step 2) Select IMG from the drop-down menu by Connect To. Make sure the account number is filled in and then click Create New Reservations.
Step 3) Select any customer information used to book the IMG reservation. This data is automatically passed to IMG and saves time during the booking process, as less fields need to be completed manually. Then Click Connect.
*Please note: The following information must be included for the Primary Traveler before connecting. These required fields must be entered for Live Connect process to work.
- First and Last Name
- Age and Birthdate
- Phone
- Residential Address including State/Province and Country
- Gender
*PLEASE NOTE: the following information is not moved to the insurance booking site; therefore, you will need to enter it when you reach IMG’s site.
- Citizenship
- Any additional travelers (during import reservation you will have the opportunity to match the traveler to a traveler on the Res Card).
Step 4) The system prompts with the reservation records included in this Res Card. Highlight each reservation you want to insure. To highlight and select multiple reservations, use CTRL/click. The system will complete the summary trip information.
*PLEASE NOTE: The following information must be included before connecting. These required fields must be entered for the Live Connect process to work.
Destination (please enter a country)
- Trip Cost
- Departure Date
- Return Date
As a reminder, the Deposit Date is optional for IMG. It can be today’s date or earlier, but it cannot be a date in the future.
Click Connect.
Step 5) Although you are still in ClientBase, you are now on-line at the booking site. Complete the reservations and when the reservation is confirmed, click Import Reservation. All reservation data booked on-line is now located in the reservation fields in ClientBase.

IMG for ClientBase Online

Set up IMG (ClientBase Online)
Step 1) Create a new or check that a Live Connect Provider for IMG exists by going to Tools/Settings/Live Connect Providers and clicking Add. (Make sure the URL is correct if Provider is present.)
Fill in the following fields:
- Name of the Provider: IMG
- Status: Leave the default of Active. If you ever want to make it Inactive, go back in this area to turn off.
- URL: Type https://www.imglobal.com/ClientBase?LCPOST=true
- Travel Category: Select Insurance.
- Import XML from: Select HTML Source.
- Include Authentication: None.
Click Save.
Step 2) Each User can put in their own login information under Tools/My Login/Live Connect or enter one set of login information for a Live Connect provider for all agents by going to Tools/Settings/Live Connect Login. Click Add and enter the following information:
- Live Connect Provider: Select IMG from the drop-down list.

Step 3) Create a vendor profile in ClientBase for IMG if one does not exist. From the profile manager, retrieve the vendor profile (or create one if it is not in database). From the General Info area, click Live Connect Providers. From here, click Add, then select IMG from the drop-down list. The vendor code is IMG. Save.
Create New IMG Reservation (Online)
***Important Note: You must download the Live Connect extension for Chrome before using Live Connect with ClientBase Online. Chrome is the supported browser. Please click here for instructions on downloading the extension.
Step 1) Retrieve the desired client profile, create a new Res Card and after entering basic Res Card info, launch Live Connect by clicking Live Connect on the menu bar. (You can also launch Live Connect from the Profile action gear.)
Step 2) Complete the Live Connect settings by identifying the vendor, the Live Connect Provider and appropriate Login information. (If you have set up your logins in Tools/|My Login/Live Connect, the account number information will auto-populate.) Make sure the account number is filled in.
Step 3) Click the Create New Reservation button.
Step 4) Select any Profile, Passenger, Branch and Res Card information you want to use to book the reservation and click Connect to launch the on-line booking engine.

Step 6) A new browser window will open for IMG. Complete the reservation(s) using instructions supplied by IMG upon registration. When the reservation is confirmed, click on the Live Connect Extension, and then select Import Reservation. All reservation data booked on-line is now located in the reservation fields in ClientBase.
