11/3/23: The current version on ClientBase no longer moves Traveler information to the Chubb site. This is to accommodate their new version that will be released shortly.
10/4/21: Chubb Travel Protection has updated their production URL to the following:

In ClientBase for Windows, go to Utilities > Live Connect Providers. Replace the current URL with the one listed above.
If you have ClientBase Online only, go to the Tools icon in the upper right, then Settings. Find Live Connect Providers and click the link. Replace the current URL with the one listed above.
New Feature:
You can now import an insurance quote, and use Retrieve Reservation to reconnect and complete a booking. Check your CBW/CBO Help file to update the URL for Chubb as well.

Live Connect Features Supported by Chubb Travel Protection
Chubb Travel Protection supports the following Live Connect features if checked (please see further below for information on importing and retrieving an imported Quote):

Set Up Chubb Travel Protection (Windows)
Upon receiving login information, take the following steps to setup ClientBase for Live Connect.
Step 1) Create a Live Connect Provider for Chubb Travel Protection if none exists by going to Utilities|Live Connect Providers, and clicking Add. (It’s a good idea to check if the URL is correct.)
- Provider Name: Chubb Travel Protection
- URL: https://buy2.chubbtravelinsurance.com/sites/CTIUS/en/client-base/?postQuote
- Travel Category: Insurance
- Import XML from: HTML Source
Step 2) Set up for Live Connect agent logins can be done individually or globally for the agency. Users can set up their own logins by going to Utilities|My Login|Live Connect and clicking Add. To set up globally, go to Global Defaults|Res Card Defaults|Live Connect to enter the User Name, and Password that everyone in agency will use. When Live Connect is launched, the system first looks to see if there is login information at the User Login level, and if not, then looks at the global login.
- Live Connect Provider: Select Chubb Travel Protection from the drop-down list.
- User Name, Password, Account Number: Enter your User Name, your password, and Account Number. Agency Code is not applicable.
Step 3) From the Profile Manager, retrieve the Chubb Travel Protection profile (or create if not in database). From the General Info tab, click Live Connect Providers. Click Add, then select Chub Travel Protection from the drop-down list. The vendor code is CB. Click OK.
Create New Chubb Travel Protection Reservation (Windows)
Step 1) When ready to book on-line, create a client Res Card and fill in the Agent, Status, Reservation Cycle, Trip Name, Region/Destination fields and select the travelers. Use the Add Reservation button to start a new reservation. Fill in the Vendor and Travel Category fields and then click Live Connect.
Your login information will prepopulate. **If your login credentials and reservation number are not present in ClientBase before connecting, the import will not work.
Step 2) Click Create New Reservations.
Step 3) Select customer data to book the reservation (Traveler, Credit Card, Phone and Billing Address) and click Connect.
Step 4) Although still in ClientBase, you are now on-line at the Chubb Travel Protection booking site. Complete the reservations using instructions supplied by Chubb Travel Protection when you registered. When the reservation is confirmed, click Import Reservation. All reservation data booked on-line is now located in ClientBase.
Import a Quote (Windows)
Chubb Travel Protection introduced a new feature November 2020, allowing agents to Save a Quote, and once Saved, you’ll receive the prompt seen below and can click on Import Reservation to import the quote into your ResCard after clicking “OK.”
You can then later use the Retrieve Reservation feature to reconnect, continue with the booking process, and import the completed booking. In ClientBase, this will overwrite the Quoted status Reservation with the new Confirmed Reservation details.

Set Up Chubb Travel Protection (Online)

Create New Chubb Travel Protection Reservation (Online)
***Important Note: You must download the Live Connect extension for Chrome before using Live Connect with ClientBase Online. Chrome is the supported browser. Please click here for instructions on downloading the extension.
Step 1) Retrieve the desired client profile, create a new Res Card and after entering basic Res Card info, launch Live Connect by clicking Live Connect on the menu bar. (You can also launch Live Connect from the Profile action gear.)
Step 2) Complete the Live Connect settings by identifying the vendor, the Live Connect Provider and appropriate Login information.
- If your login credentials and reservation number are not present in ClientBase before connecting, the import will not work.
Step 3) Click the Create New Reservation button.
Step 4) Select any Profile, Passenger, Branch and Res Card information you want to use to book the reservation and click Connect to launch the on-line booking engine.
Step 5) A new browser window will open for Chubb. Complete the reservation(s) using instructions supplied by Chubb upon registration. When the reservation is confirmed, click on the Live Connect Extension, and then select Import Reservation. All reservation data booked on-line is now located in the reservation fields in ClientBase.
Note: If you do not have the Live Connect extension installed, click here for directions on installation.
